Q: What is your top priority if elected?
Manage growth within the town including commercial, residential and governmental
Q: What makes you the best candidate in the race?
I have been serving for 6 years and have a good understanding of how the town and its government are suppose to operate. I also have the time to prepare and participate in the governing process. I care about keeping the town small and quaint, while balancing inevitable change. I feel that I am unbiased and try to evaluate each issue in a fair manner, determining what is best for the overall town, not just the individual or company.
Q: Please list important issues and briefly state your position on those issues.
Annexation is an issue that comes up periodically. I am in favor of annexation as long as the development being considered meets our comp plan requirements and has a favorable cost benefit to the town. I believe we need to control commercial development size and type due to the traffic impacts. Traffic in itself is a huge issue for us, most of it out of our control and beyond our town limits. I want to do whatever is possible to restrict this growth when and where possible.
Q: How can you improve Windermere?
Continue to support our highly qualified staff and manage the changes.
Q: If you wish to address some issue not listed above, I invite you to submit a brief statement on that matter.
I think you have covered it. Thank you.
